Met these folks at Lumber Jack says in Stillwater. Jessi came out and did a great job of selection of materials and helping us understand the billing/finance options. They were able to finish up a space that had been started previously by another contractor that did not work out. Josh/Ben installed along with their sub contractors. They did an excellent job and addressed any issues that occurred during the install and after. All projects can have minor things, Great Lakes did an amazing job addressing all my concerns and items. Professionalism: the crew was punctual, arriving on time and when necessary staying late to ensure a smooth installation process. Quality: the materials used are aesthetically pleasing as well as robust. Communication and transparency: Great Lakes Home Renovations makes an effort to work within the homeowner's budget by working within the homeowner's preferences and will suggest solutions to problems (such as meeting building codes) that may help the homeowner minimize costs during the project. If an unanticipated event arises during the project, the crew will contact the homeowner up front and discuss it in terms a layperson can understand so there are no surprises later. Attached are the before and after pictures of our project. Because of Great Lakes Home Renovations, we feel that we have truly added value to our home!

We are doing a complete bathroom remodel ourselves, going down to the studs including ceiling, replacing subfloor, electrical, plumbing and planned to contract out the deep soaking tub, surround and flooring. We saw right away what we wanted at the Great Lakes showroom ( manufacturer Bathwraps) and made an appointment with salesperson Rick in July. Thought price was expensive, but liked what we were getting, esp the fully insulated deep soaking tub. Final measure by Bob in August, very knowledgeable and gave us some great information. My husband needed to make several calls to find out exact tub/plumbing measurements and clearances needed, Brandon wasn't able to find all the measurements needed, so he finally gave up. In October installer Travis came but unfortunately with a different tub that was not as deep and had a large lumbar support that was very uncomfortable to lean back against. Apparently Bathwraps had been bought by Jacuzzi ( the previous year) and our tub was discontinued a couple weeks prior to install date. To be fair, the contract does state "Contractor may substitute similar materials if specified materials are unavailable." Regardless, we should have been called about this as the substituted tub would have been unusable. We requested the showroom model, went to look at it again and discovered it was actually gray and not white as it appeared in the showroom lighting. They were not able to find a tub that fit our specs. After researching online, I found a Jacuzzi soaking tub (remember, Jucuzzi bought Bathwraps) met with Dan the owner and he agreed to order it, gave us a small discount to compensate and I was told the tub may be in the following week. During the following month I continued to call Brandon who was unable to find out the status of the tub, finally at the end of November I was told it was backordered, no idea when it would be available. Finally, on January 4 Travis returned with the tub and surround. He did a great job installing with good attention to details, had also discussed floor pattern placement before installing, was neat, organized and a pleasure to work with. Beautiful installation, very happy with the way tub, surround and floor look. Would have given a 5 star review if there would have been better communication about the tub and if Brandon would have been able to answer questions better, return calls in a timely manner and work on issues rather than saying "I'm only one person, I can only do so much."

Joe is a great window installer! He called to tell me when he would be here. Joe showed up on time and did a great job. He cleaned up after by vacuuming and put down drop cloths. Joe explained what order he was doing my windows in. I would highly recommend Joe and Great Lakes Home Renovation. I would also like to say how great Ozzie is at measuring for the windows. He knew exactly what to look and and measure for in a very timely manner. Gary was very professional and got us what we needed. He even came to check on the window installation to make sure we were happy. Our windows turned out great and we are very happy.
