Our kitchen remodeling was basically completed last week. However, we note that there remain a few issues/problems that we would like remedied:
1) Two doors are scheduled to be replaced as noted by the installers, so no problem there.
2.) Our dishwasher was not properly installed into the redone cabinetry. Yesterday we tried to use our dishwasher for the first time since our kitchen upgrade, but we could not latch the door to make it function. The machine does not seem to be squarely centered in its space resulting in the door hitting the laminated edge or edges on the sides of the opening. We would like this taken care of asap.
3) A couple cabinet doors need further adjusting.
4) In the opening for our kitchen range, the marble counter top does not square with the underlying cabinet edges. Either the underlying cabinets are not square or the granite top is not. This is not a major problem, but it is quite noticeable if one is looking closely where the stove and cabinets are positioned next to each other.
5) I didn't know that the box in which our new kitchen faucet came had a soap dispenser as part of the package because I did not open it. When the counter top installer came last Thursday, he did ask if I wanted him to drill another hole in the counter top. I said no, not understanding that he was really telling me that I would need that hole to install the dispenser that accompanied the faucet. Later we found the dispenser in the faucet box and realized that it should have been installed. I had never previously seen or thought about having such a dispenser. I did not know that the sink would be installed by another individual the next day and that the hole I was being asked about was for a dispenser I had already purchased as part of the faucet package. We would like the hole drilled and the soap dispenser installed.
I am sending this via e-mail instead of via telephone so that I can be clear about the remaining issues and so that whoever receives this e-mail in your office may get it to the person or persons who can take care of the above issues.
